Hive Mecha is the second mini-boss in Chozo Ruins in which you fight during a natural route in the game. You would usually have to shoot War Wasps that are spawned via the mecha during each round, and then shoot its red eye for it to transition between each round. However, you can just skip it and grab the Missile Launcher.

Space Jump AND/OR the ability to scan dash.
How-to[]
There are three ways of skipping the fight:
- The Scan Dash - A little complicated but does not require space jump, making it efficient.
- The R-Jump - An intermediate level technique, it does require space jump and a little practice. This is the fastest method.
- Drainage Beak - This is just jumping onto the drainage beak protruding from the wall. Very easy and faster than the scan dash. It does require space jump.
